BSB: THE SEASON FINALE IS HERE!

It's almost time to draw the curtain on another intense year. We invite you to take a trip down memory lane with us as we look back over the past 5 years of the fabled British Superbike Championship

2021

Last year Tarran Mackenzie lifted the trophy in a victory over Tommy Bridewell and team mate O'Halloran, who had a 30 point advantage over Mackenzie at the start of the showdown. O'Halloran finished third, with the most overall wins in 2021.

Glenn Irwin smashed the Silverstone lap record and O'Halloran put an end to Hicky's hat-trick hopes in the Milwaukee Summer Grand Slam at Cadwell, where Hicky set a second lap record of the season (his first at Donington park)

2020

Heading into the last race weekend, the final 5 included Josh Brookes (Vision Track Ducati), Chris Iddon (Vision Track Ducati), Glenn Irwin (Honda Racing UK), Jason O'Halloran (McAMS Yamaha) and Tarran Mackenzie (McAMS Yamaha).

O'Halloran finished up in second, Iddon came in third, with Josh Brookes lifting the trophy again after his first BSB victory in 2015.

2019

Enter Scott Redding. A season which started slow for the PBM team culminated in Reading lifting the big trophy with a 5 point lead ahead of team mate Josh Brookes (P2). The third spot was taken by Oxford Product Racing Ducati Team's Tommy Bridewell

Redding claimed a hat-trick at the third race meeting and bagged a further 8 wins before the end of the season. It's no wonder Redding won MCN Rider of the Year

2018

Despite JG Speedfit Kawasaki rider Leon Haslam starting 26th on the grid for the final race, the Championship was already won as he took a total of 15 wins in 2018.

We thought we would note here that despite partaking in every championship following, 2018 was the last time Brad Ray scored a BSB win, until 2022...

2017

This was the second consecutive year Shakey (Be Wiser Ducati) took the Championship title after strong contention from Haslam and Brookes.

The title fight caused heartbreak in lap 6 for JG Speedfit Kawasaki's Leon Haslam, who suffered brake failure, jumped off the bike at 172mph and took home a broken wrist, thumb and ankle

So, things can switch up quickly in the showdown and it's all to play for this weekend...

See you at the track!
