Brake pad breakdown? We’re here to help

For those who want more from their brakes, upgrade to Brembo. Your bike deserves the best, and Brembo has it, without question.

But when you’re looking at upgrading your pads to get the most out of your motorbike, sometimes it is hard to know where to start. Brembo offers an extensive range of pads which are suitable for multiple uses, from racing bikes and street bikes to city and off-road machines. But which brake pads are going to work for you?

The answer is not written in the stars, it’s an exact science. Brembo brake pads have been developed and tested under scrutiny in the most extreme conditions, and have dominated WSBK, MotoGP and BSB paddocks for years.

The result? Pads which are reliable, durable and do what they were designed to. Let’s look at what is on offer:

  • Z04 – (racing front) World Championship Grade. Exclusively for racing. Greater braking control, improved stability, increased braking power, outstanding resistance to high temperatures. Not suitable for road use

  • Sintered SC – (racing front) high performance for competitive use. Good for hot and cold. Racing, track days or high-performance road use

  • Sintered RC – (race front) carbon ceramic. Performs at high temperatures. Softer initial bite and a progressive feel. Not suitable for road use

  • Sintered SA – (road front) Brembo’s most popular pads. Consistent in performance when hot and cold, good initial bite. Good in both wet and dry

  • Sintered LA – (road front) longer life than other sintered pads (by about 30%) but offers the same performance. Good in all operating conditions

  • CC Carbon Ceramic – (front and rear). Good durability and performance in wet and dry. Less aggressive than sintered pad, with a progressive bite. Steel and cast-iron disc compatible. Suited to high mileage rather than road race

  • Sintered SP – (road rear) Brembo’s most popular pads. Consistent in performance when hot and cold, good initial bite. Good in both wet and dry

Ok so you probably didn’t read that. Why would you? You’ve got 1mm brake pads and an itch to scratch. Take a look at the visual below. You are welcome!
