How to bed pads in

It is very important to run in brake pads to obtain maximum performance by the material used, and this should be done with great care. Carbon ceramic materials require progressive thermal running in and the avoidance of sharp prolonged braking (high speed plus high deceleration) for the first hundred times. This will prevent vitrification of the surface layer of the brake pads and guarantee maximum efficiency for their entire working life. Apply the brakes lightly several times and ending with a firm bite, leaving a pause between one squeeze and the next. This will produce the correct heating and cooling cycle needed to prepare the system.
